I can't believe with six months away, I already have two confirmed guests. My friends from Wales who I meet travelling in Australia just emailed and said they made their hotel and flight arrangments. If these guys are willing to do this, I am curious how many other of my OTT's are going to be there! Maybe I should start to worry about this guest list after all!!!
Also I have a question. She asked me if I wanted anything from the UK or if I had gift ideas(she would never even think of giving us a check, its just not done). I send her my registery information. This isn't rude since she asked right??? I just felt like I was begging for gifts!

WOW! That's SOO nice to hear your friends are going to attend your wedding. I wouldn't worry about sending on the registry info--but perhaps you could suggest her bringing stuff native to the UK....isn't one of the china or crystal companies based in the UK (I'm thinking maybe Wedgewood?) Perhaps she could find something only found in Europe or at the company store for your wedding? Like a cake cutter? Just an idea!

She asked if there was anything I wanted from the UK but I couldn't think of anything. I also thought this would save them some money since the dollar is so weak. She would get stuff off my registery for almost half price!

My friends from Ireland feel the same way. I said nicely that they tend to give cash over here and one friend insisted that she still buy me a gift.
I don't know if the registry list will work out for overseas guests, but it is a good idea to show them what you'd like. Maybe they can buy it here before the wedding if they have enough time.

That is great. The reson why she is asking is cause out of town people give gifts not money or check and the don't have cocktail hour. But congrats

Woohoo! That is really nice of them, how exciting (the rest of your guests have no reason to not come now ) The registry was completely fine that you gave it to them, most people oot don't bring money..just presents!
