My First QOTD!!!!!!!!!! 3/14/09

Ha ha ha... so here I am trying to come up with questions.... when not so long ago I thought Dani had an obsession problem with having the need to come up with a question everyday even when she couldn't think of any! That was before I knew what a BOTW was!

So onto the question....
Today's installment will be more on Getting to know each othere! Right about now....I'm hearing that song in my head...'getting to know you....' that is a song right? I'm not just making something up in my head am I? ha ha ha... anyway....
This will be a multiple part question/mini survey....

2 - How long have you been on LIW? How long did it take you to start posting?

My Answers:
1 - I think I am such a freak that I might actually be a part of both! In the beginning I was definately day... but since then I got a new laptop and now I find myself on and posting at all sorts of times!

2 - I started on LIW in November 2008... and I started posting right away. I didn't feel around or anything... just jumped right in!

3 - I reached my 1000 post in January... and sometime within the last 3 days I hit my 3000 post!!!!!!

4 - I don't know... lemme ask him! He thinks it's a good way to find out ideas and to see what other people are doing and it's nice that I can talk to other people who are going through the same things I am with getting married. He says that's about it.. but Iknow he also thinks it's silly.... I know this from the smirk on his face whenever I mention it! ha ha ha! I just call it 'the girls' or 'my girls'. Ha ha ha ha!

5 - I figured I would miss it and I did think about crafting things for people on the side. Like making STD's and menus and things of that sort. But I also think that house hunting (and saving $) and baby making plans will begin and those are definately things I could do on the side if I were a stay at home mom.., but with all that going on and work I don't think I would make it through the day.

WHEW! Question 1 is DONE! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

1- I am night crew (early evening really because I get up so darn early!)

5-I will miss it because it is exciting planning our day but I would not want to do this for other people

1. I'm more day considering this is my entertainment at work. But when I'm working on the comp at home, I will pop on at night here and there.

3. No idea... Once I got to 1000 I slowed down though, but now I'm starting to creep back up again

4. He thinks I'm nuts at time. but he doesn't really care.

5. I will miss planning. Thats what everyone tells me.

3)It took me FOREVER to get 1k. I'm addicted, then I go on hiatus for a while, then I have a relapse and become more active.

4)FH thinks this site is lame lol. Not like he should talk he plays World Of Warcraft. (losahh)

5)I dont think I'll miss it. I try to have a different attitude on wedding planning. I am focusing more on the marriage. I couldnt be a planner-I am such a slacker

I'm an all day crew, because this is a disease lol. I post throughout the day if I have the time, and I'm usually on all night. Which sounds disgusting, BUT, I don't live with FH, so we talk through AIM every night when he's not over or I don't go over, so I'm at the computer all night anyways with multiple tabs open doing other things, so it's really not THAT bad. Ehh, yeah it is.

2 - How long have you been on LIW? How long did it take you to start posting?

I got engaged June 22nd and registered June 23rd haha. But it took me until the very end of July, beginning of August to start posting. My intention was never to get involved in the boards because generally I don't get along with women, and clearly that idea went out the window.

3 - How addicted areyou? Which really means...how long did it take you to reach your 1000 post? If you haven't reached that yet....how long do you think it will take you?

I'm extremely addicted, it's disgusting. Surprisingly enough, it took me a while to reach my 1000th post, I think it took me until the beginning of October, but I did flip out in September and didn't come on for like 3 weeks because I was sick and stressed and needed to disappear. Since then, the posts have just been piling on.

4 - What does FH think of this site? Do you call it anything special?

He hates it lol. But he's on it too sometimes, looking for reviews on vendors...sometimes lurking at me and getting pissy about things I may or may not have said about him haha. We just call it LIweddings.

5 - Have you at all thoght to yourself that you will miss the wedding planning once it's over? Have you thoguht about becomming a wedding planner or something in the field?

I actually wanted to be a wedding planner BEFORE i was engaged. I even have a book on how to start your own wedding planning business, and I interviewed with a well known company that operates out of two RHs on here right out of college. Needless to say, I didn't get the job, but I'm not considering it as a career path anymore. I think I could do others fine, but mine has been torture to plan because of FH fighting me on every step of the way. I do think I'll miss it though, because I'm having a hard time thinking of what I'll do in my down time.

1 - i think i tend to be early morning and late late night crew... i have a really wicked schedule, so i can't be very predictable these days. i try to post as much as i can!!

2 - i joined in January and i started posting right away...but i was really nervous to, for reasons i can't explain

3 - i think i'm kinda addicted. i got my 1000 a week ago...so a little under 3 months... to me, that seemed kinda fast, but i don't know if it's actually fast, or really slow.

4 - he thinks i'm cute about it and he likes how nice girls are here for me...i tend to have to deal with a lot of b*tchy girls in person, so the forum is sorta good for me to get a lot of good positive feedback and share things with others and get great ideas!!

5 - as a matter of fact, i always think about how sad i'll be when it's done. like, this weekend i'm finishing printing all my DIY invites and i'm so sad that they're done in a way. like that parts over. i actually procrastinated just to prolong it. and i'm actually going to start a little invite thing on the side because i LOVE the creative aspect of doing pockets!!! oh, i'm not obsessed. and ps, i would LOVE to start a wedding planning consultant business, - i finally can use my creativity, organization and perfectionist mentality for something good and exciting!!!

I guess i'm part of both because during the day i'm on all day and at night i sneak on and off.

I've been here since September but started posting here and there in October but not much though.

I think now i'm getting super addicted because i have met so many great ppl on here that are hysterically funny, creative and just fun to talk to.

FH likes this site because i don't have to talk to him about wedding stuff . FH calls this site LI weddings nothing out of the ordinary

I'm both. I usually pop in a few times during the day at work. And check in back and forth at night too.

I found LIW within a few days of getting engaged. I got engaged on 7/19/08 and by the end of the month, I was on. I think I started posting right away.

I'm pretty addicted. I think I reached 1,000 within by October/November.

Sometimes I think I'm going to miss all the planning and sometimes I ready to slit my wrists over it!

1 - I'm both. I go online at work, but people are snoopy so my replies have to be short and I mostly lurk. So sometimes I come on at night too so I can actually respond to the posts.

2 - I have no idea how long I've been on LI, but it took me about 6 months to start posting.

Yes and Sort of, Brides can be hard to deal with. While I am loving planning my own wedding I am unsure If I could do this all day everyday...maybe an event planner.

ha- well he makes fun of it all the time, but loves that we have made some really awesome friends as well

as a special name, he says that LIW should have a DOTY- divorce of the year...

i would love to beome a wedding coordinator but somehow i think my life is already complicated enough.

1. I would have to say the night crew.
2. I have been on LIW since February of 2008 but didn't join until May of 08.
3. I'm pretty addicted but I don't post that much. It took me I think 8 months to hit 1K. I tend to be a private person so I hold back on the boards.
4. FH uses it. He has his on sign on. He'll post for me when I want to ask questions to avoid lurkers. He got a kick out of the posting to hit 7? million, my efforts to get to 1K, and he'd be proud if I ever got to be BOTW.
5. I will miss it. I've thought about being a planner but I'm not sure I'd do it.

Haha...first...yes..it IS hard to come up with a question everyday of the week! LOL. I wasn't just some nut trying to ask questions for NO reason at all!

Good questions:

1. Depends for me...during the work week...DEF. a day person...By the time it gets dark out I'm ready for bed. LOL. Weekends or days OFF from work..I usually just clean all day, then I become a night owl. LOL

2. I was on LIW since...Uhm..the begining of 2008...took a little tme to fid this site...then it took even longer for me to realize you can post on here. LOL. Iwould say I started posting in June..? lol

3. It took me a looong time to get 1k posts..I was't that much into posting..THEN..I went nutzy..and couldn't stop!! It's just been the past 2 weeks or so that it slowed a bit for me...I've been tooo busy LOL

4. FH thinks it's an addication....he just calls it 'THAT SITE' lol. Like, if I'm teling hm about something, he'll go...is this about 'that site' ? LOL. Does't really call it anything. ONE time he did say that I paid more attention to this site then him...HHAHAHAHA

5. I'm at the point in planning that the 'fun' stuff is over. Now it's just stress....payments....seating aragnments...not reaching the min...AUGH! lol. When it's done, I think i'll be SOOO releaved!! Then I get to start decorationg our house! lol. 1) I'm more the night crew-I think I'm only on during the day maybe once a week, if that. But after 6:30pm I am on..


2) I started reading and posting on LIW in August 08..I started posting immediately, but in the beginning it was mainly dress opinions and stuff.

3) It took me about 5 months to reach 1,000.

4) FH calls it Bridal blogging ang thinks we're all insane for taking the site so seriously.

5) I'll miss the planning afterwards ONLY because wedding planning takes my brain off of work mode quite a bit..my job is really stressful and demanding, so every 10 minutes of wedding chat helps me decompress through the day. But I have thought a lot about working with wedding gowns after all this, b/c I love Bridal fashion and accessories and would love to style brides-if thats even considered a job. So we'll see.

1 - Day crew, I'm usually on the most right before work around 7am.

2 - One year! Woohoo! I started posting immediately.

3 - I think I reached it within two or three months, I can't remember.

Yes I will miss it. I'm too busy with my current job but maybe in the future.
