I am so excited for my first RH appointment this weekend! FH, FMIL, FFIL and myself are going to visit The Thatched Cottage on Saturday. This will be the first of many.
How many halls did you look at before making your decision? I have 10 on my list, but not sure if I will get through them all. I want to look at the following:
- Thatched Cottage - Fox Hollow - Westbury Manor - Jericho Terrace - The Woodlands - North Ritz Club - Crestwood Manor -The Inn at New Hyde Park -The Rivera -Crest Hallow Country Club
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: My first RH appointment this weekend!
Here are the halls we looked at in order of appointments
Leonards Royalton Fox Hollow Westbury Manor North Ritz Club The Inn at New Hyde Park.
The halls I listed above are all beautiful and unique in their own way. DH and I were sold when we looked at The Inn at New Hyde Park. We were supposed to look at the Swan Club right after we saw the Inn. After our appointment at the Inn, we called and cancelled for the Swan Club. The one wedding at a time, the beautiful huge ballroom, and the COCKTAIL HOUR room we loved!!!!!. The Inn does require you to guarantee a large amount of guests though. It's 225 for a Friday night.

Re: My first RH appointment this weekend!
Definitely check them out and see what they all have to offer. We chose the crest hollow but all of the ones on your list are nice!! The riviera is nice because they only have one wedding there at a time & they have a beautiful view of the bay! :)

Re: My first RH appointment this weekend!
I've attended weddings at Thatched Cottage, Fox Hollow, Inn at NHP, and Crest Hallow. They were all great for different reasons.
I didn't chose Westbury Manor because I had my Sweet 16 there and wanted to do something different (but it was awesome). They have a great outdoors area for the cocktail reception and a nice bridal suite.
The best part of Thatched Cottage was the cocktail hour. Its on the water and the food was fantastic during the cocktail reception. They even put pretty live flowers in the drinks!!!
Been to a couple weddings at Fox Hollow. It was very nice but unfortunately since I've been to a few weddings there they all start to seem very similar...that's the downside. Both were a ton of fun though.
Inn at NHP was one of my favorites. The best cocktail reception I have ever attended. The food just kept coming and coming and coming. I didn't chose this location because I didn't think I was going to have as many guests as it looks like I may be having. The main room was also gorgeous.
I chose Jericho Terrace. I have actually never attended an affair here which is partly why I picked it. I wanted to do something different that my family hadn't been to. I also fell in love with the Dome Room.
Hope this helps. Message me if you want more details...trying to give the good spin on things!

Re: My first RH appointment this weekend!
Good luck, it's such a fun time! My FH and I looked at 6 total, in this order:
- The Sands Lido Beach - The Metropolitan - The Harbor Club - The Inn at New Hyde Park - Bridgeview Yacht Club - Woodbury Country Club
As soon as we walked into Bridgeview, we KNEW it was where we wanted to have our wedding! We kept our appointment with Woodbury anyway, but even when we were there it just didn't compare to BYC!
Out of the ones on your list, I've been to a wedding at North Ritz and it was beautiful! The Inn at NHP is also beautiful, but it's huge and very fancy and was out of our budget (not sure what yours is). Also, not sure what your criteria are ... we knew we wanted a place with only one event at a time, and even though the Inn does only one wedding at a time, there is a chance a different event will be going on down the hall. You don't have to worry about your guests running into other guests, though, because the events are kept completely separate.
Good luck!!! :)

Re: My first RH appointment this weekend!
We looked at 24...yes 24 and we chose The Woodlands...it was the only one we walked into and I fell in love!!...At first I wanted on the water but in the end none of them were right...The Woodlands was beautiful, cozy, elegant and romantic....pricey but amazing!! Glad to see you have it on the list...If you have any questions about any venue, I probably went to it, so forum mail me if you need any advice...GOOD LUCK!!

Re: My first RH appointment this weekend!
Hey girl! I'm currently searching myself too I went to Crestwood Manor last weekend and they were MUCH smaller than I had anticipated. The room is really small and the way they set up the room is a bit odd. All the tables are very closely put together on one side of the room, and the dance floor is all open on the other side. They were set up for exactly 100 people at the time and I don't see how they could possibly fit any more than that. I don't know how big of a wedding you are planning but we thought it was much too cramped for 100 people. Also, there are really no places to take pictures there and they had the highest fee for a ceremony by hundreds of dollars compared to other places we have been to, and the price per head was also the highest of any place we've seen, including Thatched Cottage which was much nicer and bigger. I hope this helps a little! I had thought it looked absolutely gorgeous in the pictures online and was stunned at the size when we walked in. Just something to keep in mind...good luck!!
