My First Wedding Vent (Very Long)

OK so far I have been very calm during the whole wedding planning process but with 4 days to go I think I'm going to go major bridezilla soon.

First I went to the hall on saturday to drop off my final payment and the whole grass area where I am having my cocktail hour was dug up and a dump truck was sitting in the middle of it. Of course I expressed my concern and was told they are redoing the sod and plants and will be done by Friday. That is only 4 days away so they better get their A$$ in gear..

Next, I gave my programs to a vendor to print for me...telling them I needed it by Saturday and they haven't even been started yet!!!! The paper was delivered wrong and she doesn't have the tassels yet!!!!! She assures me they will be done on Wed. I should have done them myself.

My FMIL insisted she wanted to help out and said she knew caligraphy and asked to write out my placecards. I was like ok how bad can they be. THEY ARE AWFUL. Look like chickenscratch and have spelling errors and I spend $150 on them. Now its garbage and I have to redo them myself today.

Lastlly and most importantly my family ****$. I want all my immediate family at the hall at 6pm to take pictures. They told me yesterday they aren't leaving home until 5:00 pm. HELLO its friday night during the summer and without traffic it will take them over an hour to get there. They are going to miss the ceremony I just know it. They refuse to take off of work. UGH my face is turning beat red with anger just typing this.

I was the same way - very calm all throughout planning and then stressed 2 days before. You sound like you are doing all you could, just keep on top of the vendors who didn't give the items yet and I am sure your family will do whatever you ask of them. It is your wedding and they want it to be just as special as you do. Try and relax, you'll need it for the day before the wedding

OH, you poor thing! Don't worry, just do the best you can!

As far as the hall...they will have it done before Friday...it's amazing how quick those landscaper guys can work...I'm sure that the hall would not want to risk their reputation because of something like that. LOOK AT IT THIS WAY....It will be perfect for you because it will all be brand new!

Everything else will work out...you'll see!!!

Oh I'm not even looking at the weather (or at least pretending not to look) until Thursday. These crazy weathermen don't know anything!!

Oh I know everything will get done....all my vendors are awesome, I'm just hitting bridal panic mode. Think I need to start drinking now until the wedding lol.

Karen I am sorry that you are feeling this stressed. I am sure that the hall and programs will work out. Can your photographer perhaps intervene on your behalf with your family? Can he/she explain to one or all of them that this must get done and that they need to leave by 4:15?
