I second WishCandy - I always send special baby blankets with their names and birthdates embroidered and the parents always love it. I have some fun websites if you're interested....

Another - all of these can be embroidered. Plus they have really soft silk backs - you choose the color. They're awesome gifts...

This is the one I got for my friend's baby Erika Lucia, who was born in February. I had it backed with pink satin - she said it came out beautifully.
