My friend called off her wedding

My friend called off her wedding

One of my friends just called off her wedding. She's so upset but at the same time feels like a weight has been lifted off her. So I told her I would post to let people know that November 24th 2004 is now available at the Westbury Manor!

That is soo sad!!! I was actually feeling like I wanted to call off this whole thing last week as well- so much stress. I hope she is doing ok!
(Will the Manor give her back her deposites?)

tell her to hang in there - the same thing happened to my sister - and now the wedding is back on for august 5, 2005 - keep your fingers crossed. she is not the first and certinatly not the last, but best of luck to her, I'm sure she is doing the right thing.

I feel really bad but it is better to do it now. My friend did that a few months ago. She would have been getting married in September. What happened. Did she lose a lot of money? Hopefully things will work out for the best, they usually do

Oh my goodness. That is so upsetting to me. Whenever I start to feel stresses slightly I need to remind myself that actually 'getting married' is being at the church and reciting my vows and exchanging the rings. 'A wedding' is not necessary unless you actually want it. So....we brides to be are just asking for the stress!!!!!!!!

Good Luck!

I was engaged once before (7 years ago) and i lost a ton of money! I was only engaged for 2 months, when we booked everything for a wedding that was going to occur 2 years later...Russo's on the Bay, band, florist, entertainment, etc. 3 months after we booked everything we broke up! Needless to say, we lost thousands eventhough we booked so far in advance!!!!!

If she called it off, then she must have seriously doubted him, good for her for being strong and courageous enough to do that!

The ironic thing is that my wedding is november 4th at the Westbury manor the following year.

Tell her to visit There Goes the Bride . It is wonderful that she had the courage to do this now if she felt it wasn't right. I don't know if she will be able to find something to fill the date there, but the money is nothing compared to her life! to her

It takes more courage to cancel than to go through with it. I have two friends, who are now divorced, who admitted to me secretly that they had their doubts while engaged but went through with it anyway.

Many to your friend. She must be very brave right now. It's hard to do when you and your families are all caught up in it.

She is very strong for being able to do this. Is she going to get any of her $$ back?

She is strong to do this now. It must be so hard but tell her to carry in her heart the conviction that she did the right thing and will be much happier in the long run

to your friend.

I'm sure she is having a difficult time of it right now. I admire her strength in being able to cancel the wedding when it was so close.

Good luck to her. I hope everything works out for her.

Re: My friend called off her wedding

My brother called off his wedding a few years ago (for personal reasons.THANK GOD he did).
Anyway, he had $$ down @ East Winds, lost $$ on the engagement ring, and lost $ on other things. It was very hard but hes so much happier now!! He's with a GREAT girl whom we all love!!! Theyve been together over a year and he's back on his feet. Im hoping she will be my SIL one day!!
I felt so bad for him. On what was supposed to be his wedding day a bunch of us went out and had a great time! He knew he could move on. It took a while but he did it!
Many to your friend!!
