Back in college, my high school friend became very close with one of her roommates who later that year got engaged... woohoo!... my friend was asked to be her MOH, which after much thought, accepted with joy and pride. Cut to 5 years later.... she's out of college and isn't in touch with this friend as much and distance (she's in NY her friend is in PA) has put a strain on their friendship (they just don't get to talk as much any more). So about a year ago, the friend called off the wedding, post-poned it really and then just the other day my friend was talking to her and she told my friend that the wedding was back on. My friend was wondering how to go about asking if she still wanted her to be her MOH. She feels like it would be weird if she was to still be her MOH because they really aren't as close as they once were. She doesn't know how to bring it up esp. because her friend definitely hasn't brought it up. What would you do? -Ask her about it? And if she still wanted you to be her MOH, would you accept even though you're not really that close anymore, or not accept??

Wow thats a touchy situation.. I dont think she should bring it up maybe just ask how the plans are going and see if something is said .. I mean if she really wants to know she should ask But, If i was in that situation and i wasnt that close with the person anymore i wouldnt ask.. I would wait & see if something is said..

I dont know if i would come out and ask but I would try to find a non-chalant way to bring up the wedding plans and how they are going...see if she picked a place, a bridal party...and then she what she says

I would let her bring it up first, but if she still wanted me to be MOH I think I would still accept just because there was a reason that we were friends in the first place and even though life kind of interfered and drove us apart, maybe planning the wedding would bring us back together and I love rekindling old friendships.

I wouldn't come straight out and ask....I would trying asking her how the planning is going? what she has left to do? etc. She's gotta tell her eventually
