Tell her to look into the Riverview or the Snapper Inn, both in Oakdale on the water.

Try the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook--it's especially great during the holiday season.

I appreciate your help ladies but those places are too far out East.I think she wants more of Western Suffolk or Nassau.

There is a resturant called DiMaggios in (I think it is Port Washington) on the water. It's a beautiful place, and the food and service are great. We have been to a few smaller functions there and it was always great!

La Marmite in Williston Park-French/N Italian
Classico in Roslyn-Italian
Giraffe Room in Great Neck-part of the Inn at Great Neck-convenient if she has to accomodate overnight guests
Never been, but I heard Louis XVI in Patchogue is spectacular. Another restaurant I've not yet been to but friends rave about is Coolfish in Syosset (same owner as Tease in Roslyn).
I'm pretty sure all have private rooms.
Hope this helps!

I would second La Marmite (east williston)- but I would also add L'Endroit (On Glen Cove road - south of Northern blvd). La'Couquille - not sure it will accomodate that many people.
I also like West End (carle place)- great restaurant like cool fish but it is on the small side so not sure she would have to call them.
Coolfish is great ate there about 2 weeks ago and am thinking of calling for rehearsal dinner (syosset) but we didn't see a private room so not sure.
If you tell me what exactly she is looking for I can give you more ideas.

Our wedding is at The Lido Golf Club. I know it's not a restaurant but I know that they cater to smaller parties and I know that they do an awesome job!

I went to a bridal shower recently at Alias Smith and Jones in Oceanside and it was nice there. I also know someone who got married there (80 people but I wasn't there for that)

I went to a Bar Mitvah at the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point - it was beautiful! The room held about 100 people, it was set up like a wedding and we had a full view of the Throgs Neck bridge and the water.

I have seen showers at Waterzooi and next door at Victory - (Both owned by same person) if she has enough people they might close for her
