my future husband on crutches DAY of wedding...so sad!!!

On Sunday we were at my dad's house for his birthday and my fiance went to jump of the diving board and hurt himself. Fast forward, we went to the hospital on tuesday because he was still in a lot of pain, we found out that he ruptured his achilles tendon. He had surgery on Thursday and is now in a cast recovering. HE can't walk right now, however the doctors say he will be able to next week with crutches.

He will be in a cast and on crutches for 3 months. I just canceled my honeymood. Ladies, I am so sad, all that work and the day is tarnished. Please don't get me wrong I am so happy it was not worse, but why now!

It was also his right foot so no driving for 3 months. I am just trying to make the best of this horrible situation but it is hard.

ohh my gosh i'm soo sorry!!!! Luckily it wasnt something more serious. Don't worry about the honeymoon, you can always make it a later date. We are getting married in October and not going on the honeymoon until December because of FH's job. Don't worry and make the best of hte situation.

Oh Man!! That S*cks!

Postponing the honeymoon won't be so bad...at least it kinda drags out the excitement....this way it isn't all over after 2 weeks...

I'm glad FH is ok....you can probably get some cool 'crutches' pics...

OMG I'm so sorry! I hope FH feels better. My FH is banished from any physical activity for AT LEAST a month prior to our wedding....I'm telling him this story so he has proof that he HAS to be careful!

Sorry for your husband!

Look on the bright side: it will be very different, you'll still have a GREAT time, you have an excuse not to go to all the tables & walk too much & the pics will show the both you in youth: at the height of athleticism! Hearing this story, I think of when my lil sis got all scratched up on her face before her pics in school by the cat....at the time it was terrible....but after then, we thought it really captured her spirit.

oh NOOOOOOOO.
Im so sorry! I can understand how disappointed you must be..

My step mother was hit by a car the day before my bridal shower and had to have a pin put in her hip so she still doesnt know if she'll be able to walk at my wedding either!

It's tough to have to do all of the planning and now take care of him because he cant get around...I wish you lots of patience right now.
The important thing is that your still having your wedding..the honeymoon will be there for later so think if it as something else really good to look forward to when he's better.
