My grandfather was admitted to the hospital today.

He has lung cancer, which the doctors thought they ahd under control, they could not remove the cancer, but had shrunk it significantly with redatiation. We thought everything would be good then. A few months after that, he was having blurry vision, and they found out the cancer spread to his brain. He was doing well, and seemed to be doing well, they were giving him radiation fro the brina tumors, and he was still able to play golf, which he loves, he just couldn't drive. Today we find out, he hasn't slept in three days, and has begun to hallucinate, so the doctors wanted him in the hospital. And it is hard becasue they are in FLoida, and my grandmother doesn't ask the Dr. any questions, she just listens to them, and takes their word as gospel.

I feel so selfish, because all I want is to dance with my grandpa at my wedding in a month. and I am scared that won't happen.

I am so sorry for your Grandpa I will say an extra prayer for him.

And, I do not think it is selfish to want to share a beautifully sentimental moment with your Grandpa on such a special day in your life.

I just feel bad, for thinking that he won't bne there, I know I should be positive, but I am finding it so hard to be. I also want to be strong for my dad, becasue I can't imagine what he is going thru.

Thanks guys, for all your thoughts.

My aunt happens to be on vacation in Florida, and she is a nurse, so she went to see him the next day. The Dr's think that it is from the seroids that he is on. He had a similar response to Hydrocodon a few years back, though not aas serious. They say that he is experiencing something similar to 'roid rage'. He slept on Saturday (first time on four days)night, but as of Sunday afternoon, he is still 'aggitated'. Hopefully in the next couple of days he will be better.
