My grandma broke her hip last night -- Updated with brief shower review and grandma's condition

My great grandmother broke both of her hips. She broke the right hip at the age of 91 and her left hip at the age of 93. She had a speedy recovery. Dont worry about recovery, they are a lot stronger then they may appear to be.

Maybe after your shower you can go see her and share with her the fun you had and just be with her.

Try and relax. I know its hard, but try not to stress too much

im sorry to hear that.. My grandmother ended up missing my sisters wedding(we're her only 2 grandkids)... If you dont have someone doing video you should get one.. I remember it made her soo happy being able to watch it.

I am sorry to hear this, but with a good rehab I am sure she will do fine just make sure you take lots of pics and even video for her at the shower i am sure she'd love that

I'm so sorry about all that has happened to you lately and I hope your grandmother gets better quickly so she will be able to make it to your wedding. If she can't you know she will be there with you though!

Thank you all so much for the kind thoughts. Today was a very hard day for me.

My shower was great. My mom & MOH did a GREAT job planning it. It was held at Peppercorn's and everyone had a great time. We played bridal bingo and I got so many gifts.

The biggest hit of the shower was this poem my FMIL wrote where she gave me different household products at certain points like 'Always keep your voice sweet & low and never shout' The funniest part was the end was something about welcoming the new Mrs. to the family, and she gave me a roll of Scott paper towels and a roll of Brawny towels. FH's name is Scott Braun, get it?

I'm still totally overwhelmed. My cousin taped the shower so that I can show it to my grandmother when she's home.

I went to see my grandmother in the hospital after the shower. She's not doing too well. Apparantly she had a heart attack, but they can't really figure out when it happend (pre or post surgery) Anyway, it's going to be touch and go for the next few days.

I feel like I've been on a complete emotional rollercoaster today, going from totally happy to very sad. I'm very lucky that FH is so supportive. He's really been taking great care of me.
