My Grandmother's Surgery (Update)

I need everyones prayers please. My grandmother had knee replacement surgery this morning.

Update: Sometimes my aunt is an idiot. When she called my mom, my grandmother has not even come out of operating room yet but the surgery was finished. The reason why it took them longer than they thought was because my grandmother's knee was worse then they thought and they had to put rods in her new knee. She does not need to stay in ICU overnight but will probably stay in recovery overnight. They are going to move her to recovery in a little while. The good thing is that she did not lose alot of blood so she did not need to get a blood transfusion. The doctor said that as long as everything is ok today, she will be in a regular room tomorrow.

good luck to her!

my dad has had that done (his didn't come out good though - BUT THAT IS THE DOCTOR'S fault) we know tons of others that had it done and they feel great.

Just make sure that the dr's make her move around asap. And see if they'll allow her to have this knee bender machine in the hosp and at home. The idiot dr my dad had 10 yrs ago didn't do that right away and we think his calf muscle was either atrophied (ie: doens't work) or something along those lines because it *can* bend - we've seen doctor's bend it to 90 degrees, but he can only bend it 20 degrees on his own

I'm sure she'll do great in recovery!

Update of my Grandmother's status as of last night. My Grandmother was in recover and in alot of pain. They are giving her morphin shots and today they were going to move her to surgical ICU.
