My Grandpa is driving me nuts (long)

I think I may have to kill him soon. He is totally making me nuts. Maybe he is going senile...he must be...because like I said ...he is nuts....
I live in a three family house...grandpa is on the bottom floor and me and fi are on the second floor, and no one lives on the 3rd floor because g-pa is nuts and doesn't want to rent it. well ever since we moved in he has been driving us nuts....he goes through our grabage after we take it out to make sure we recycle....he reties my cardboard because apparantly I don't tie it the right way...(like the garbage man care). He sneaks into our appartment when we aren't home and tell the rest of my family what is in my refridgerator and cabinets...now tonight he calls me to tell me to lower my voice because I am being to loud...meanwhile I'm not even talking I'm on the computer...plus there is a whole group of kids outside yelling but he doesn't believe it's them....so then he tells me I am good at lying...can you imagine...and he told me to llok for another apartment after the wedding.....so I told him I can't wait and hung up on him......sorry this is so long...I needed to vent

WoW, I think someone needs to have a serious talk with grandpa. That is awful, I mean, where does he get the right to go into your apartment? That's illegal! I don't care who he is! Maybe you can change the locks and have someone in your family mediate a conversation. that's nuts. Why don't you move to the 3rd floor? Maybe a little separation would be good I'm so sorry you have to have this happen, and have itbe your g-pa!

Move out ASAP! There is no reason he should treat you like this family or not! 's to you

Maybe you should talk to him about how you feel and remember if he is elderly, sometimes they do things that they normally would not do. Hope everything works out

I am so sorry... it is hard to have family as your landlord.
I think it might be high time to have a heart to heart with your grandfather & explain to him that what he is doing is not only hurtful, but it makes is seem as though he does not trust you.

Are you sure your grandfather isnt related to my grandmother. We were in a 2 family home with my grandmother on the first floor and my parents and I on the 2nd floor. My uncle lived in the basement

It was horrible. My parents got so fed up they moved out. I had to booby trap my bedroom because when no one was home my grandmother would go snooping around the apartment. I cant tell you how many lectures my parents got about how their garbage should be when its put out.

I think a family member should definatly meditate between him and you and try to resolve this situation. Believe me it wouldnt get any easier.
