My Grandfather passed away last night after a two year battle with cancer. My family called as my sister was about to blow out her birthday candles at 11 pm.
FH and I are on our way to Florida tonight. The viewing was supposed to be tomorrow and the funeral on Friday but we just got a call that one of the priests died so they had to change the viewing to Friday and the funeral to Monday. So much death around us lately. This is the sixth death to touch our lives in the last two-three weeks.
Guess I am just asking for some hugs. I am actually ok though, I spoke to him a lot when he was well and a few times last week when he was in the hospital. I am just happy to know he is finally at peace.

You are all so wonderful. Thank you so much FH and I are at the hotel now came online to check something for my mom and decided to peek at LIW to see what was going on. I am glad I did b/c it lifted my spirits.
