My FI and I both asked our parents who they woul;d want to invite so that way we would know how many extra friends we could invite. Now it seems like every day our moms are calling with new people we HAVE to invite. I'm going to go bananas. It seems like they would rather make us bankrupt than just say no.
just tell both sets of parents that you dont have the money to invite all these extra people.. and dividing the list up they can each have X amount of people(like 150 total is 50 to each side, and 50 to you), and anymore that show up over their amount that they have to pay for...
