My guilty splurge

In case you couldn't tell, FH and I are HUGE Simpsons fans. When we were trying to figure out what to do for our e-shoot, everyone kept saying to do something 'quintessentially us'. Well, that's the Simpsons but I couldn't figure out how to incorporate it. We just got an invite for a wedding in Florida, so we decided to do an e-shoot at the Simpsons Ride in Universal Studios! I know it will sound silly to a lot of people, but FH and I are ridiculously excited. We are going to eat a pink doughnut, 'loiter' by the Kwik-E-Mart, etc. I am going to draw the line at a giant blue wig! We will still have the 'nice' shoot with our actual photographer in NY to make my mom happy, but I think I am more excited for this.

oh yay!!! that sounds like a lot of fun!!!!!! FH and i are going to los angeles in a few days and we are doing an e-shoot there too. We will be doing another one here in NY with our photographer too but we are super excited about doing the LA shoot too.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one doing two shoots, it took a little bit for me to convince FH to part with the $$$. Where in LA are you going to go? There are so many places! Did you get a photographer out there yet?

We are doing the shoot in downtown, LA. I actually found our photographer out there when I was googling picture ideas. Since we are incorporating our Mexican Culture in our wedding we are taking photos in Olvera Street. Then we are doing somewhat of a vintage theme in Union Station and then going to the Art District to do like an urban look. We are super excited!!!!

I love that you are incorporating your culture into your shoot. They are going to come out great, so much more personal!

Did you talk to the photographer over the phone or Skype with them? I'm a little nervous to give someone money like that without meeting them.

Hey do you know what you are doing for favors yet? I saw once on a wedding blog, a couple who loved the Simpsons, so for their favors they gave out little pink boxes with a doughnut in each, and a little sticker that said 'mmm doughnut' on it! I thought that was the cutest idea!

I love this! It's a really cute idea and it reflects you guys better than a traditional shoot! I think a traditional shoot is great too (that's what I'm doing) but I think when people see these they will love them more bc it shares a part of you with them!
