My hairdryer decided to die on my yesterday

My hairdryer decided to die on my yesterday

Right in the middle of blowdrying my hair, the hairdryer shuts off. No biggie, since I have curly hair and it looks fine when it airdries (but it does come out a little flat.)

I thought maybe the hairdryer was pulling a fake-out on me though. You know how sometimes it overheats and it shuts itself off? Or that little vent gets clogged with fur balls which makes it shut down?

So this morning I didn't wash my hair (NO I don't wash my hair everyday!) and then I wet it a little, expecting the hairdryer to work and I would just re-dry my hair. There were no furballs clogging the vent, so I figured the dryer would turn on. Well, it wasn't faking when it died yesterday. It really IS dead!
And my hair looks like crizap!

Ohh can you use the little hand blow dryer in the bathroom? I've got to say, I have three spare hairdryers for when that situation happens. Hairdryers are so fickle.

Back-ups??

I just let them die, then b!tch about my hair for a day until I buy a new one.

I once had a hairdryer burst into flames. Is that bad?

No such luck with me, even after I switched outlets and also pushed the reset buttong.
Maybe I'll try the jumper cables!

Ha haaaa! I typed buttong!

I just woke up and read this thread as 'my hairDRESSER decided to die on me yesterday' I was like holy crap!!!!!! So on that note glad its your dryer and not your hairdresser, but I am sorry, I hate when that happens. just slick it back in a nice low pony tail if you can, works everytime!

It happened to me the other day and until I was able to get out and get a new one, I looked like a greaser with my hair slicked back with gel.
