I am totally freakin out.........I HATE to fly and I just got a call from my TA saying that our flight going to St Lucia has been changed AGAIN (this is the 3rd time)...but now its not just the time...now we have a lay over in Barbados....which means 2 take offs going and to landings....Im totally freakin out!!!!
I want to just cancel the honeymoon all together but FH is againest that......UGHHH
I dont think my Xanex is gonna be enough for my nerves now
Our TA said she doesnt really know why they are changing it again, but I told her that was the reason in the first place that we booked that flight and day... I wanted to leave the day after the wedding but there was a 5 hours lay over in Pueto Rico and FH did not want to do that so we decided to leave 2 days after the wedding and get the straight flight....so much for that.

What are you saying??? You deserve this honeymoon... this vacation to relax after planning such a beautiful day you are going to have.
Believe me, I was terrified of flying... like... I would pull over to the side of the road if a plane was just flying over my head.
One day my job asked me to go to Korea, the NEXT DAY and I WENT! I said, if I don't go, #1 I am and idiot becuase it was for free to travel to another country, #2 becuase I would never get over my fear of flying if I had to pay for it. and #3 I would limit my entire life not to see the world!
I did it! I left the next day for a 16 hour plane ride to Korea... and it was the best thing I ever did in my life... SERIOUSLY... I am not totally 100% over the fear of flying... I have been to Korea, China, Barbados, DR, Flordia, Atlanta, LA, San Fran, and more, you name it.
And belive me... I have loved EVERY TRIP.
You need to do it for yourself! You cannot let fear take over... you need to take control of the fear!
Go, I promise everything will be ok!

I totally agree.... that's the only way to truly get over a fear of flying.... take the plunge. I developed one when I was about 12, and only got over it when I had 2 connecting flights each way on a trip.
You'll be fine.... and the honeymoon will be your reward!

I know exactly what you are going through. Since we booked our HM, the TA called 3 times and changed our flight coming home from Hawaii....I am a little afraid to fly and I hope that the flight coming home, I am sleeping...Originally we were supposed to leave at 10:30 PM out of Hawaii, now we are leaving at 1:30 PM....so much for sleeping through this flight!!!

First your not cancelling.....second, it can be worse....it can be the 5 hour layover like the one through Puerto Rico but its like 45 minutes...thats not bad at all. Its not the Travel agency but the airlines. They are always changing flights like that...you dont know how many times we can changes like this on a daily basis at work....at least 3 a day. AA did it last year on our trip home from St. Martin....we were in Miami for like 4 hours!! It will be okay and your going to have the best Honeymoon Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

OKAY>...t.ake a deep breath. You have a whole wedding to get through. FORGET ABOUT THE HONEYMOON RIGHT NOW........ that will DEFINITELY WORK ITSELF OUT. I promise. Just focus on the wedding, your vows, what is important, what you need for the wedding. I find that the things we worry the most about end up the least big of a deal. No cancelling. You have FH by your side for the whole flight........you are going to land in St. Lucia and this will all be behind you.

I would tell your TA that she better make it work....Nervous to fly or not....nobody wants 2 layovers on their way to their honeymoon...i would be po'd but thats just me. Im sure itll all work out

take a breather. call your doctor and see what they would advice. there is no other place id rather be stuck on a lay over than barbados! its your honey moon, your time to relax....enjoy everything. it will work out for you!

2 Layovers??? I thought it was just one.....connecting in Barbados??
It is just one and I dont think we are getting off the plane I think we are sitting on it for 45 mins.
