My honeymoon was amazing!
Costa Rica was abosolutely beautiful!
We arrived in San Jose and had private transfer (2 and a half hrs) to Arenal. We stayed at Tabacon Thermal Spa Resort for 3 nights. It was amazing. We loved every minute of our stay here. The springs are naturally heated by the Arenal volcano (world's 12th most active volcano). We went to the springs everyday during our stay. On our last day there we decided to do the Zip Lining excursion. We booked it through the resort and DH and I along w/another couple were picked up by SkyTrek. The 2 guys who took us through the trees were great and a lot of fun.
The other couple with us was Jenna & DH (SoonToBeMrsCampos)
They were staying at the same hotel.
After Arenal, we spent 2 nights in Monteverde. We had a 4 and a half hour trip to our hotel. La Fonda Vela. DH considers this area of Costa Rica like the Poconos. Chilly at night, surrounded by forest and insects. We took a guided night hike in the forest, went zip lining again and sampled the local made ice cream from Dos Pinos, it was soo delicious. The zip lining company we went to in Monte Verde was crazy. Longer and faster lines that we had to control ourselves and the Superman.
Our last stop in Costa Rica was at the Paradisus Playa Conchal in Guanacaste. Gorgeous. We stayed in a Royal Service suite and had an amazing 3 days.
And this is Jerry the Coati
There's about 20 of them living on the resort.
And the food theif.
I watched them steal packets of sugar off the table at the restaurant and food off peoples plates when they left the table.
