My husbands 'other job'...

John LOVES to gamble. He can spend hours upon hours at a craps table or in a casino period...

Well he has found himself some poker websites where he and a friend happen to get on at the same time and play against thousands of people all over the world...

Little did he know, a few bets here and there (Yep, playing with real money ) He's been winning every nite... So far he's 'up' close to $1,000 in just 3 nites

I have to say *knock on wood* he is pretty good with certain games and almost always is the one that wipes everyone else clean . I just hope this doesnt start BAD HABITS... although he loves it so much, he does have a good 'discipline' about drawing the line.... On one cruise, he won enough to pay for the cruise for both of us

Ay yay yay....... I dont know if I should be happy or worried

DH is addicted to online poker, too and I found out that three of my coworkers DH's and FHs are, too!
DH doesnt' bet with real money though. I would kill him.

John just put $100 'in the pot' and plays with that... Id kill him if he was gambling with more than that.. but I know how he plays, he could never start with less than $100.

We just have to remember that gambling is LOSING as well as WINNING....

DH is a huge poker fan too!! once a month his brother hosts a poker night for all the boys. luckily the stakes are low - DH was the big winner the last time and came home with $18

Last time John went to his friends house for boys night and they played poker (like a month ago) he came home with everyone's money I think it was like $150 or so

That's my FH's other job too. We have casino boats here in the Midwest. FH loves Craps and Roulette. He is pretty good at it! The pit boss knows us pretty well and teases us about trying to win money to pay for the wedding!
As long as he doesn't gamble with money he can't afford to lose!

I don't know if I should be excited for you that John's on a winning streak, or nervous for you that his luck is going to turn!

After hearing that story, I'm CONVINCED that he and Patrick would get along GREAT! I think it's time to introduce the boys!!

Robey-on the cruises we've been on, we were always greeted with a 'Good Evening John, Good Evening Anna' by all the Big guys Once or twice, they had to stop the game (craps) and backtrack his moves because he was doing so well!
He's definately good with stopping when he sees a losing streak, or feels a 'cold' table...

We hear stories of my cousin losing 2,000 at a time and we wanna faint. He's wayyyy out of control and has lost HUGE amounts... not even thinking about HOW MUCH it is... John knows that A)I would kill him, and B)Thats money that we can put to very good use!

Jenn-I know, I dont know whether to be happy or scared Yep, its definately time they got to know that these internet friends really do have hubbies (that love to play poker) and have cute little kiddies and really DO exist We'll introduce em for sure, or maybe John Anthony will introduce em

my John loves to gamble too...and tells me of all his winnings...but whenever we go - he loses...so as much as I love to gamble - I'm nervous to go with him- that he'll lose!!!!
