My invites!!

The calligrapher just sent the proof of our invites. I'm so happy with them!! This is how the font will look but they're going to be on thick paper and letterpressed. I can't wait to see them in person!

ETA; The person we're using is Calligraphy Lady. I highly recommend her. She's been really great to work with.

I actually had to take the pics down though because she's been having some copyright issues with people copying her work. There are some great samples on her website though:

Gorgeous! So classy! What type of invites did you get?

Thanks! They're going to be printed on thick textured white paper and letterpressed. I'm also thinking about having a pink vellum overlay and white satin bow like this:

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! i'm so happy for you. they look absolutely terrific i think the calligraphy looks awesome, and LOVE the vellum overlay with the ribbon. we are doing something similar, with cream vellum and ribbon. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I just need to learn how to tie a bow a little better than I did in the picture! Dayna, aka Calligraphy Lady, said she'll give me instructions though!

yes she is hand-painting a cherry blossom on each invite.

i'll post them as soon as a have them (although i won't be near a computer for a decent part of the day, since today is the medical residency match, i.e. fh and i find out where we're spending the next 4-6 years )...
