Just wanted to share my experience with integrating a part of my family's past into my new family and future. Some of you may remember from other DIY or veil posts, that I was in the process of beading my Mother's veil. I have kept it in my posession since I was a young girl. To be honest I don't think my Mother even remembered what happened to it after our familiy's last move.
When I told her what my plan was she got very emotional (she is really not an emotional person) and that really made me want to put the effort into remaking this veil.
I had worried that it was not going to match my dress, but at this point it has become such a special project for both my Mother and myself, I will wear it regardless. I put in almost 30 hours beading it by hand over the last few months. Here some pics.

I absolutely LOVE that you are wearing your Mom's veil, and I think your beading work looks amazing....all that hard work definitely pays off!!
