Wow this week has flown by, I tried to make my questions on things that have never been asked before but its tough!!!! Thanks Jenna for making me BOTW!
So my last QOTD is: What have you taken away so far from LIW (doesn't have to be wedding related) What things will you incorporate into your weddings that you learned from LIW?
Now for my answer: 1. A DOC ( I honestly didn't even know these existed or even what they were), 2. I will be making Bathroom baskets and Slipper baskets. 3. I would have never heard of many of the vendors that I have booked either (my photographer I found by looking through pictures on here, makeup/hair I would have been clueless) 4. There are probably so many more things that I can't even think of right now, its ridiculous how much stuff I have 'borrowed' off this site.
Pretty much the only thing I did on my own was my band because of a family friend. I honestly don't know where I would be in my planning without LIW and all you girls (and now I am all sappy on you guys!)
I will be passing the BOTW crown later on today!

I have taken so much from LI weddings so far and look forward to the next 15 months of ideas, vents and friendships. I have learned how to make my own ideal centerpieces, my cardbox, how NOT to get ripped off and what to bargain for, that I am not the only one who has random freak outs from anything FIL and wedding related, and who to use for makeup and hair and who not to use! I have also discovered what b-pics are and gained enough courage to do them! I really think I would have been lost without LIW. Thanks to all you lovely ladies!!!

So far, I've seen some great centerpiece ideas on LIW.
I've learned I'm not crazy for wanting blue shoes for my wedding day; that there are many other brides who like this idea. (I've had people look at me like I'm stupid when I tell them I want my something blue to be my shoes)
I've found some great DIY ideas on here, I would have never thought to do my own programs or unity candles.
I've learned how to deal with certain situations that other LIW bride to be's have already dealt with.

The most valuable thing i love is the feedback from the girls and also looking at reviews of vendors from pervious brides.

I've been a part of and been a guest at so many weddings, but I have never heard of or seen an example of A slipper basket A card box candy bar
until LIW... and I will be using 2 of the 3 I didn't know what a DOC was, until I read it on here. I am not going to use one, since I have 7 more than capable bridesmaids to help out with that.
Overall all, the most valuable thing I've taken from this site is the free advice...unsolicited, honest opinions from real people that have gone through or are going through the same process. It's been comforting and informative.

I agree that I love this site b/c I can always talk about weddings!!
But specifically, from this site
1) I would have never found my photographer or florist 2) I now have a flip flop basket 3) I am doing lots of DIY stationary and other projects with ease 4) The very cute idea of having guest upload their pics at shutterfly to share 5) I am pretty sure I will have a candy buffet too 6) Lots of ways to save $$$ - including where to get my custom garter made!

this site is really great. and im not sure where my planning would be without it or how i would be finding 'recommended' vendors.
i am just happy i found this site. and all of you guys too!!!!!

i learned the ins and outs of wedding planning..how to negotiate, what to expect, what to look for. the reviews have been super helpful in the picking of my vendors. i also now have inspiration to do some things DIY. i have gotten some ideas like colored shoes, favor ideas, etc
and of course i have waked away with great friendships
