My Last QOTD 5/17/2009!!!

Wow this week has flown by, I tried to make my questions on things that have never been asked before but its tough!!!! Thanks Jenna for making me BOTW!

So my last QOTD is: What have you taken away so far from LIW (doesn't have to be wedding related) What things will you incorporate into your weddings that you learned from LIW?

Now for my answer:
1. A DOC ( I honestly didn't even know these existed or even what they were),
2. I will be making Bathroom baskets and Slipper baskets.
3. I would have never heard of many of the vendors that I have booked either (my photographer I found by looking through pictures on here, makeup/hair I would have been clueless)
4. There are probably so many more things that I can't even think of right now, its ridiculous how much stuff I have 'borrowed' off this site.

Pretty much the only thing I did on my own was my band because of a family friend. I honestly don't know where I would be in my planning without LIW and all you girls (and now I am all sappy on you guys!)

I will be passing the BOTW crown later on today!

I don't know if theres any one idea in particular that I took from here but I used the reviews on this site quite a bit when choosing my hall and photographer and to get advice from people other minute details...

ive only been to about 3 weddings so everything i learned... was thru this site! i was to young to pay attention to details when i was a guest at weddings.

bubbles instead of rice! (thank god)
my make up artist that i use on a reg basis! <333

I think besides the RH, every vendor was ogtten off of reviews on LIW and I think they are also all LIW rec vendors too. I look at my friends getting married and have no clue hey they really are sure that their vendors are good, lol.

Also, I always read about my RH and things to look out for, extras, etc that I woud have no clue to if I wasnt on here.

i honestly dont know where i would be..ive only been to 3 weddings, and they were all in the south..

so i had NOOOOO clue about what to do for anything..
i got hooked to this site because i wanted to find reviews on my rh, and i stumbled on this..

ive checked reviews on every single vendor through here, found my florist, make up..

I knew about most of the stuff that goes on at a wedding, but this site definitely made life so much easier! Also, I love the reviews and pictures. I have a picture file called 'weddings' that is full of pictures of other people's decorating, centerpieces and other ideas that I stole .

Definitely got so many great ideas from all the ladies on here. The most helpful is all the reviews and thoughts on vendors. All my vendors (except for 1) were chosen because of recommendations from LIW brides. Also ideas for favors, table numbers, place cards, etc.

The reviews and posts on vendors saved my life! I don't think I would have my photographer or DJ if it weren't for LIW. Also, NWR, I am so thankful I am never bored at work anymore! I always have something to do now lol

found this site when was looking for reviews for my hall when I was just thinking about booking it. Thanks for those brides that posted their reviews and made my decision so much easier.
Also, would have never found any helpful info on price ranges, what goes into a package, always to get a contract, etc w/o LIW and u girls. very very helpful.
Plus, it's great to have a place where I can share anything and everything wedding wise, and just life in general. It's so great for me cause all of my best friends are back home, my parents are back home, and here I have very few friends. So pretty much I see all of the girls here as my friends thanks!!!

I think the reason why I love coming on here so much is just for this fact alone.. you get to constantly talk about your wedding. Everyone is in the same boat as you and doesn't get bored with wedding talk. If I talked like this constantly with friends and family they would probably be so bored by now. I also love giving the best advice I can to everyone.

I definitely agree with this. I feel like I talk about my wedding WAY too much to family and friends so I can come on here it doesn't matter!!!

But I have also gotten some great ideas for DIY projects, I have learned about some awesome vendors and websites to get things like invites and all sorts of other little extras and I would have totally passed up getting a videographer and regretted it had it not been for everyone telling me it was basically a must have and I also get to push my photog who I am in love with like crack!! LOL

I read reviews and get so many ideas like DIY, lightning, etc. I love how you can come on any time of day and learn something new!

I have gotten almost all my vendors on here except RH. I love how everyone shares ideas, vents, and prices with one another!

i love chatting about the wedding 24-7 and i dont get a from anyone!!!

when me and fh git engaged i wish i learned about this site right away. i got all my vendors from word of mouth. the only vendor i got off here was my limos. so if i can take anything away it would be everything but the limo, so i can use these vendors on here.
