My Leonard's 'guest' review from last night...
Like I promised, here's my guest review of Leonard's last night... first, it was FAR for those in Suffolk County. BUT, it's a definite plus for those in Nassau, Brooklyn and Staten Island. The place looks gorgeous from the outside. The valet was slow. The cocktail room was on the ground floor. The display was INCREDIBLE and the food was to die for! The coat check was on the first floor and when it was time to go to the reception room, we had to climb up 2 LONG flights of stairs. EVERYONE was out of breath by the time we reached the top floor. I don't know the names of the rooms...sorry. The reception room was nice. Lots of mirrors. The food again was really good, except for my choice of entree which was a chicken breast (with the bone) in some kind of glaze. It was so bland, I took one bite and didn't eat the rest. FH ordered the Chateau Briand and it was DELICIOUS!!! They had a Vieniesse hour that was out of this world...Haagen Daz stand, chewy chocolate chip cookies, black and white cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries, cannolis, EVEN ZEPPOLES! Cakes cakes cakes...cheesecake, tiramisu...EVERYTHING! It was delicious! The only thing I really didn't like and remember, we are different so this is JMO... I'm not into that kind of modern decor and the fact that we had to get our coats checked on one floor, reception room up 2 flights...it was exhausting. The place is HUGE! It's true what people have said about the food though! It's incredible. Our waitress seemed like she was moody the whole night. Like whatever we asked for was such a chore for her...like ice cubes!
The bride had a terrible photographer (I think he was just a friend of the family...nobody posted on this board) who pulled her and her DH away from their wedding for about an hour to take photos in the hall!!! I would have been livid if that was me! PLUS, they still had to go to every table to thank everyone for coming! Oh, we also bumped into the other bride on our way out, but that's no big deal. She was on the coat check floor. I hope this helps!!! If anyone needs anymore info, please FM me!
