My Magical 2002...

Happy 2003 everyone!!! As I reflect on the past year, I can't help but feel incredibly blessed. I have a loving hubby, a beautiful little boy and together we will soon be settling into a home of our very own. Wow!

Last night, hubby and I were talking about how Paul has been our 'storybook' child. He was born just one minute shy of his expected due date. We brought him home on Mother's Day, which was my wish ever since they told me my due date. He's been a complete joy ever since, and we, along with our families, have marveled at what a good baby he is and how happy he is all the time. This amazing child has taken away all of my self-doubts about becoming a parent - each time I look at him, I know this is what I was meant to do. Of course, he makes my job easy!

The last two months have been especially exciting. His development is moving along at rapid pace. He cut his first tooth one week before Thanksgiving, and he even played along with the cliche by cutting his 'two front teeth' for Christmas! Well, last night was a superb culmination of the holidays, and it tipified his first 8 months of life - he crawled across the floor for the very first time!! I was so overwhelmed with joy that I . Unfortunately, his Daddy missed the moment, since he was home sick with a bad cold while we visited with family at my aunt's house. But, Paul was more than happy to give Daddy a complete re-enactment this morning!

Now that Paul is mobile, it's going to be a very hectic 2003, but we are happily (and a bit wearily) looking forward to it! We'll be celebrating his first birthday in just over 4 months!

What program did you use to put a little color in your lips?? I wanted to do that with some of my pics.

I dont think Im going to be able to handle my little one turning 1 year... heck I dont think I am going to handle seeing her first tooth!!!

Congrats on Paul's latest milestone!!! I love the pic of you two. Isnt amazing how fast they grow?? May 2003 be full of even more blessings for your family.

It really is amazing how fast they grow and how fast the learn about the world around them.

Claud, how touching and beautiful that you recall each and every moment with Paul with such amazement and loving thoughts. I hope you write in a journal because I am sure one day he will love to have read what a grateful Mom (& Dad) he has that cherishs his every wakening minute.

Claud .. you are an amazing person and a wonderful mother. I hope I can aspire to be as much of a loving mother as you are.
