Ok ladies, I need your help. I'm trying to figure out if I should do my own makeup or have it done. Everyone always compliments me on my makeup, especially my eyes and so I don't know if it's worth spending $140 to have someone else do it. So since we're having a party tonight, I played up my makeup a little bit. This isn't exactly how it will be for the wedding, but it gives you an idea of how I do my makeup. Let me know what you would do. Thanks!!!

I was just about to say the same thing....your eyes look gorgeous!!! I wish I could do my make up like that. I would just make sure to make your lips stand out a little more this way they are not lost in pictures!! But hell...lipstick isn't going to cost you $140....I say go for it on doing it yourself!!

You did a great job!!! A lot of brides I think want their makeup done to avoid the stress of doing it their selves the day of the wedding. If your comfortable doing it go for it , looks great!!
PS def a little more gloss though, or darker shade

You know, the funny thing is I have difficulty doing makeup for other people. I've done my sisters for her prom and stuff and it came out awesome. But I guess I just get nervous.
Thanks for all your input ladies. I think I may go to the MAC counter and get some color suggestions or something and use those items they pick out. I stink at picking colors for myself.

i was thinking about hte same thing... i can do my makeup really well and get complimented on it and asked 'who did your makeup?' a lot... but for the day of the wedding I'm going to be so nervous, I don't want to mess it up or be unhappy with the way it looks. I booked with Jacqeline Nicole - she did my make up the way I like it but it lasted much longer and I got fake lashes!!

You look great! I'm in the same boat, get compliments on my make-up and my sis won't go to a special occasion unless I do hers! But on that day I don't want to woryy and want a little pampering. I am going to bring pics to my trial. And I'm going to a salon by my house and am getting make-up for less than half of your quote.
Love your make-up, you could def. do it yourself!!!

Thanks again for the input ladies. That's a good point that I will be frantic the day of and will just be adding stress to do it myself. And I want it to last all night and my makeup never does. Blahhh, I'm such an indecisive person!!

I think you did a great job. What kind of foundation do you use,ur skin looks amazing. In any case, I agree with some of the ladies...a darker shade of lipstick will def. improve the look..but other than that great job

Thanks. But it really is exactly that - the makeup! I use Sheer Cover. It's so lightweight and has such amazing coverage.
