I went for my makeup trial yesterday and I was blown AWAY!! Alison did a wonderful job.....I brought pics of styles I liked and she combined them all. She has her own line of foundations which worked very well. She applied a few single false lashes and they looked so real I couldn't tell where they were 15 hours later!!! (I saw her at 10 AM and took off my makeup at 1 AM!) All of the makeup stayed on the entire day and night even through crying (I happened to watch Disney's 'The Kid') except for the lipstick which lasted only about 4 hours. I highly recommend her!! My Makeup Trial With Alison Raffaele

I booked her yesterday for my August wedding. I left a deposit after the trial. She charges $350 for the bride, and $125 for each additional person. The trial was $150. My mom and maid of honor are using her as well. She is definitely more costly than other makeup artists, but the peace of mind I have now is worth it. I tried a some others and was mighty disappointed. She spent a few hours with me, shaping my brows and trying makeup styles that I liked. I looked like I glowed from within...which is exactly what I wanted. She travels to your house on the day of, but for the trial you would have to go to her in Manhattan. She is a few blocks from my apartment, but if you're traveling from Long Island maybe you can ask her to travel to you (since you will be paying for the trial). Did you decide on someone for hair yet?? I am stressing about this now....I'm going to try NuBest next week. Help!
