My mini review of Venetian Yacht Club
Ok So I was really excited when I first recieved the invitation in the mail and saw they were having it at VYC because I was torn between Russo's and VYC when choosing between the two for my own wedding and decided on Russo's ... So I was excited that I was at least getting to experience a wedding there. The cocktail hour was really nice .. nice views as everyone knows and the seafood boat was great and maintained very well with keeping it replenished. The one bad thing about the cocktail hour was that there was only one mini bar there and there was a line.
Moving on to the reception the room was set up beautifully the asparagus salad I didnt like much could have done without it .. The ravioli was good ... and I had the filet mignon with was so so .... the service was great our server at our table reallized that I was drinking cosmos and made sure I didnt go without a drink when I was low he brought me over another one! My napkin was always refolded if I left the table when I came back. And I saw the BM (the guy I actually met & showed us around, I forgot his name) a few times checking and making sure everything was going good!
One other thing was I had mixed feelings about the band 'Voices' I was not liking them at all in the begining for about a half hour when they were bringing out the entree's there was no music ... nothing ... all you heard were people talking ... I know the band has to have breaks but put on a CD or something... then all of the sudden after a half hour of no music then they played something while everyone ate. but after dinner they sang an awsome freestyle mix that I absolutely LOVED!! they did a better job for the last hour of the reception! but they werent so great for the first 3 hours![]()
BTW The vienese hour was great too! Chocolate fountain was excellent !! Hope you guys like my review .. now I have to go and pay some attentione to FH!![]()
