my mini wedding planning vacation!

Im back from NY and back to work.. boo.

It was a crazy busy weekend.
we met with:
Patken
12th night
Thomas Paul

FM entertainment
Tommy Tunes
LISound

Verbena Florist
Loven oven florist

First i am SHOCKED at the ones i liked and the ones i didnt, i guess it goes to show that everyone is different, the vendors i really thought i would love i didnt like and the ones i was so-so about i may book with!

I fell in LOVE with Dom from 12th night it just felt sooo right! I love his work, personality, everything. I had a fabulous experience with them and cannot wait to book!!

As far as Djs go.. i am still undecided, as most know FM and Tommys tunes are in 2 very different price brackets. However we didnt like LISound A LOT! they are just a little high for my budget... so i guess back to square one on that vendor

Flowers... i was dumbfounded when i heard the price of flowers! I cannot imagine spending over $3000 on flowers. And while i loved Keith and I also loved Jenn, i really need someone to not try and sell me everything under the sun but help me stay in budget and make it what i want. I have been talking to Laurie also from LABlossom also and im still waiting for a detailed proposal from Jen (Verbana)

so.. that was my weekend. Hope you girls had a fun-filled Labor day too!

Dom does seem to have that affect on people!

Sorry to hear you didn't like LI Sound. I booked with them. They were great to FH and I. They put on a show for us.
They didn't over sell us things. There were something that i thought I wanted and they said I didn't need them beacuse they knew the place I was getting married and they knew what the room, what it can hold and couldn't hold.
They were great. Sorry to hear things didn't work out with the DJ. Good luck with your other vendors.

wow! you made me tired looking at the list of vendors you met with . glad you had a productive weekend. i've actually never met with any of those vendors, so i can't help you with opinions. wish you the best of luck w/ your decision

As for a florist, check out Burtons. Their prices are unbeatable!

oh we both absolutly LOVED LISound. loved everything about them except the price. They are though comparable to the others we were looking at. I have a feeling we'll book with them in the end, but i wanted to look around just a little more on that one.Loved them though, thanks!

lol. my FH had no choice. this was my ONLY weekend in new york to meet vendors before our wedding. From now on everything has to be done on the phone and computer and DJ and Photographer i really feel needed to be met in person.
