Most of you know that my friend Kim who was my MoH, was pregnant and gave birth on January 9th to a beautiful baby girl.
We had plans for her to just buy her dress off the rack at David's Bridal but she went to the store and literally had the dress in her hands and ready to pay for it - she got a call from her boss that her maternity leave is up on my wedding day and that she has to go back to work!
Needless to say I am upset and I feel like curling up and crying my eyes out atm.. she tried everything to negotiate with her employer and nothing worked.. I am totally at a loss now.
It is not so much that she dropped out- I told her time and time again that I wouldn't be upset that she couldn't be in the bridal party - what ticks me off the most is that she won't even be at the wedding because of this nonsense!! Her husband is still going since he's been my friend since I was 10 years old. I met Kim in college and actually introduced her to her husband.
I'm just totally upset and I don't know what to do- I am not planning on replacing her (I will just 'promote' one of my BM to MoH but not get another BM) but my heart is hurting that she can't make it
