I found a BM dress that I love and my MOH who is my sister thinks it's hideous and wants to pick out her own dress. We have VERY different taste and I really don't want her to pick out her own.
Is this BM really ugly?

Honestly it is not my taste BUT its YOUR wedding!!!! When I was in bridal parties I had no say. If you like it GET IT!!!

Gorgeous dress...I'm with the girls...maybe you two can go shopping together, and you may feel differently once you try things on.
If there are more BMs, maybe they can wear the dress you chose, and your MOH can be in something different?

find a dress that is by the same designer just for her, and order it in the same color. she is the moh so let her wear something she likes
as long as the manufacturer is the same the color will be fine!

Okay so once again, i'm going against the norm here. But me personally, i'm not fond of the dress. But everyone has their different tastes.
The one thing i want to say regarding your sister is... yes it is your wedding, but keep in mind that these girls don't have to be in your wedding. They're doing it because they love you and it is an honor. But it is also expensive!! And i've been there when i was in a friends wedding and the dress was awful. Did i mention it was a $300 dress?
What i'm saying is, it is YOUR wedding. But sometimes brides get carried away with that idea. I think maybe you should ask the other girls their opinions and see what they think. I know for myself, i want my BM's to wear this dress i really like... but not all of them could pull it off. Just because i like it, i wouldn't do that to them or make them feel uncomfortable to make me happy.
Just a thought.

No, it is not ugly, it's beautiful. I would remind her it is your wedding, and ask her (nicely of course) to try it on before she closes her mind to it. When you go dress shopping with her, let her try on things she likes (that you might not) before you close your mind to it.
I'm sure, in the end, you'll find something you can both live with (and if not, remember - it's your wedding)
