My sister called me today and told me she is being deployed to Iraq next month . She wasnt supposed to be on this roster but was called up because some jerk is getting court marshalled and she has to take his place. My sister was the only girl in the party who has actually been helpful and I'm just so upset she wont be there.

I am so sorry. My FH just got back from Afghanistan in January so I know how hard deployments are. Hang in there. Maybe she can take her leave for your wedding???

I just want to say that as the mother of a son who spent a year in Iraq I know what you are really feeling I will be praying for your sister everyday.
Don't be too sad because I am sure she will be at your wedding in spirit that day and that's all she will be thinking about. Be sure to do something to honor her at your wedding.
Again she will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.
