bridesmaid dresses!!! :(

08'ers please help.....

I am doing the Black and White theme with accent of Raspberry and pinks. So I ordered a black dress with lace on the top and raspberry under the lace.

My mom's biggest concern is she thinks black dresses are bad luck...you know the old school in her is coming out. AND.....the black dresses won't look good in pictures on the beach :(

Does anyone have pictures from their black and white wedding with the accent of pink and/or pictures on the beach with black dresses??


Please make me more confident in my decision to choose black dresses!

omg you mom sounds like MY mom... my mom freaked over every little thing that i chose

i've never seen black dresses on the beach... NOR do i think they are bad luck... i personally wouldnt have black BM dresses, but i've seen weddings that do have them and they look awesome!

unless your mom is paying for your whole wedding, then tell her 'thanks for your input, but this is my day and how i want it'

ok--i might be biased as one of your bridesmaids but I really think they are gorgeous and you should go with what you want!!!

i had black dresses with a green sash but i would tell your mom to mind her own business. Its your and dh's wedding not hers. My mom didn't have issues with the black dresses - she even wore one but she had issues with other aspects of the wedding and I just told her to back off as politely as possible.
