Halloween decorations, they were 70% off at kohls, really nice ceramic pumkins that you could display on the counter and a really cute candy bowl. She said that after each of the holidays this year she is going to get me decorations once they go on sale so by next year I won't have to go crazy and by full priced decorations. What a good idea mom!! Love her!!

I do the same thing as your mom! I always buy holiday stuff right after the holidays when its cheap; thats how i get my xmas ornaments!!

A friend of FH's family got married and her mother did something similar...
She shoped after every holiday and hoarded everything for a year and for the bridal shower she gave her huge baskets (read: Rubbermaid totes) full of decorations, one for each major holiday/season....
Spring/Summer, 4th of July/Memorial Day, Halloween, Fall/Thanksgiving, Christmas, and I think there was one more.
It was a really cute idea to get her started. They're big decorating people.
