My mom has a question lol

One of her workers (they are nurses, she is the nurse manager) is getting married in June at Giorgios. My mom is single but was invited 'and guest'. She wants to know if it is wrong to bring me...girls...thoughts???

My mothers best friends daughter is getting married in May and we were going to do the same thing. She is single and was also invited with a guest. Then she found out that they are at theeir max for the room. They invited more anticipating people were going to say no, well then didn't. So my mom is going to go alone.

However I think it is fine..... (as long as you know the person getting married)

BTW my mom is a nurse too and her friend is as well

'guest' means anyone. Doesn't have to be a male date.

But I would maybe check with the bride if it is OK out of a courtesy. Typically when you invite someone with a guest it is because you don't want them to come stag, but you want them to bring a date.

Not wrong at all!

A few years ago, my mother was invited to her best friend's son's wedding. I went with her as her guest. I also grew up with the family, and her best friend is like a second mother to me. So it wasn't weird at all that I went with her.

We had a ball together. If your mother was invited with a guest, she can bring anyone she wants

It is absolutely fine that your mom takes you along with her. And guest means a guest of the invited person and that could be anyone. My neighbor brought her granddaughter with her to my son's wedding and we were all fine with it.

I would just make sure just in case. My grandfather was invited with a guest to a wedding and he wanted to bring me, since it was his cousin's granddaughter that was getting married they told him 'we haven't been allowing substitutions, but for you we'll make the exception'. So I believe they were telling other guests that it had to be some kind of significant other. We felt it was very contradictory, even though they said ok.

thats fine!!two years ago i was my friend sdate at wedding she had to go to, my sister is not dating anyone and she says she is brining her friend with her to my wedding as her date !
