My mom invited herself...

to come in the BP limo! I wasn't expecting the parents to ride with us and had checked with them previously... I would have gotten them their own limo but they all said no.

She said 'OF COURSE I'm coming in the limo!! I want to be with you ALL day. I have to make sure everything goes perfect and make sure everyone poses the right way, etc... I mean I know you have a photographer and all but still, I have MAKE SURE'

This means she's planning to come to WBG w/us for the photos. This means my Dad now must come with us too. This means I now HAVE to extend the invitation to my FILs?????

We DON'T have enough room in the limos!! My parents are divorced and shouldn't even be in the same room much less the same car! Doesn't she realize that?

I couldn't say no to my mom... now what the hell do I do?

Tell her that you are afraid that your dress will get wrinkled if it gets too tight in the limo. If she is so concerned about your pictures, then I'm sure she won't want you all wrinkled. No room! Sorry!

Tell her that you would have made different arrangements if you had known earlier. Oh well...

Please tell her that you need her to help you manage the guests......like be the host for them in between the pics and the reception.

She needs to be with you ALL day? Like at your side the whole day?

Sounds like she's getting Mom-itis = realizing her daughter is getting married and 'leaving'!

Im sure by the day of the wedding she'll be too busy talking to guests to want to come in the limo!

my mom and dad paid for 2 limos. one will have my BP and my brother (hehehe.. hes gonna HATE that - my 19 year old brother in a limo with 5 other girls.) and there is one for my mom and dad and i. (my dress is WAAAY to big to have anyone else fit!

You should tell her there are other more important things you need her to do - make her feel indispensable to certain portions of the day.

My mother is the same way. I overheard her telling someone recently what my centerpieces will look like for the wedding....uhhh...I have never discussed this with her. She has her own vision of the day.

I have chosen a few things that are not as important to me and given them to her to take care of with a lot of 'Oh, mom, you are the only one who can get the favors to look the way I want them, so I desperately need your help with that!' Then, while she is busy obsessing about the bow on the jordan almonds, I will pick the centerpieces and such.
