My mom is hilarious!
She sent me an invitation to my own shower. ![]()
It wasn't going to be a surprise (well, all of it is a surprise except the time/date/location - b/c I want to get my hair done and dress nicely, instead of coming smelly from the barn, which is something I would do!) I already knew the date / location, though, so I thought the invites would be a secret until the day of the shower.
I thought it was so funny! She's too cute.
I am happy she put my MOH on the card, too, as an RSVP b/c I know she's been doing a LOT to help with the planning, etc.
The only new thing I learned from the invite is that I *am* getting a wishing well like I wanted. Oh, that and she picked the invite I wanted.![]()
When we picked out my wedding invites, I saw a shower invite that had an illustration of bridesmaids in strapless, floor length, navy blue dresses just like my girls will wear! So she kept with the navy theme. (She did fool me on this one - She told me the other day she picked a different invite when I mentioned this one again, but insisted I would like it.) She actually surprised me with the invites!
What I think is so cute is that my mom wants to surprise me so badly with all this, but she's so excited about it that it's KILLING her not to be able to share the planning with me.
She even told me 'I got two yes responses already!' I told her, 'Well don't tell me!!' She wasn't going to - but hey you never know! Love her.
My MOH is doing much better keeping things more secretive... but I know she's up to a lot! We were at dinner with a group of people and she kept waiting for me to go to the ladies room so she could show them SOMETHING wedding and/or shower related.
I have a month to go until the shower, though, and I can't wait!![]()
