My mom just called to tell me she 'hates my std's'

My mom, who DOES NOT work, and who WILL NOT HELP ME plan my wedding, will not help me make appts with vendors (despite the fact that I work 11 hour days) has the nerve to get on the phone with me tonight and tell me she just got my save the dates and she Hates them. I am sooooo upset. I am trying to do this myself because she shows no support or enthusiasm and then she criticizes my choice because they are not 'formal' enough. I thought that STDs were supposed to be fun and cute and that the invitation was supposed to be formal. It took me a while to pick out my STDs. I am so upset.
Sorry just needed to vent!

I love them. They are so adorable. It wasn't even a thought in my mind that STD's should be formal. I think they should be cute and fun. Which yours are! Don't even worry about it.

They are so cute! The truth is, it seems like you cant win this battle. No matter what STD you sent out it prob. would NOT have met her approval.

You are probably right. Nothing is going to be right. I am not going to win. I am so glad there is LIweddings cause otherwise I would not know where to begin on things Thanks so much!

I think they are adorable. The only thing that I don't like is the color, but I'm not really a green person.

You might as well learn now that no matter what you do you are not going to please her. Dont even try or you are going to make yourself even more insane. Trust the decisions that you and FH make are the right ones.

I think your STD's are great . . . your mom is just being difficult. Don't let her ruin your planning and the fun. Sometimes families make wedding planning harder than it should be.

Try not to let her get to you

I think they are COMPLETELY ADORABLE!!!

If she says it again, let her know you are surprised she thinks so, because people are actually calling you to tell you how cute they are.

That should keep her mouth shut for a while.......:) There's really nothing else to say after that.......

OH BTW, and congrats.......you are getting married on my birthday....

Your STDs are very cute. Shame on your mom for making you feel bad about them. Truth is no matter what choices you make, there will always be someobody who disapproves, that is why you should only worry about what you and FH like.
