Well yesterday I got a phone call that I have feared all my life. My 14 year old nephew called me at 2 pm and said he called the ambulance because my mom was nonresponsive. The brought her to the emergency room thinking she had a stroke. They did an CT Scan and found that she had a anyrsum on her brain that had burst.
My brother and I are still living in Florida so we hopped on the 1st plane to Rochester. It was the worst 8 hours of my life trying to get home.
When we finally got to the hospital at 9:30pm they told us that she had surgery and now we just have to wait to see what happens.
Some light of good news: Her surgeon is one of the best in the country, she is responding to commands such as sqeezing our hands, giving a thumbs up and she opened her eyes today.
she is in an induced coma and is on a vent.
I am soooooo thankful my nephew was home with her and he knew exactly what to do. He is an angel. The dr's told my dad if she had got to the hospital 10 minutes later she would have died.
Please girls pray for her. She is my best friend in the whole world and i need her to make it through this!
This all still feels so unreal to me. like im going to wake up and none of it ever happened.
Please pray! Thats all we can do now and i need your help.
i Love you girls so much and tIa for being here for my family myself and my mom!

I hope all turns out ok...This same situation happened to my grandfather but unfortunately it was too late for him. Thank god your nephew had a quick response to the situation. I will have your mom and you in my thoughts and prayers.

and for you... My friend's mom had a brain annurism too & is now fully recovered. That's great that she has a wonderful doctor & is in good hands.... for her!!
