Today was better than yesterday. Tomorrow is the last night of sitting shiva at my sisters house. Starting monday I gotta go on a diet because I have been so stressed with my mom in the hospital and everything that went on this week that I really havent been taking care of myself. I really need to start doing that. I know my mom wouldnt be happy with me if I keep gaining weight...

Anyway...I have my good moments and I have my bad moments. I am just glad I have a loving wife and a loving family around me.

Scott, it takes time. I found comfort knowing my father touched so many lives and I hope you are getting that from your friends and family paying their respects to your mother.

i know how you feel....we lost dh's mom two years ago this week....it is so unfair - she was our best friend too....

My father and I and my sister went to the ICU yesterday at Mercy to drop off a basket of fruit and desserts, candy to the valet parker that always parked my dads car, and cookies to the front desk at the breast cancer center....Also to my mothers breast cancer physician.

We are going to write letters to all the heads of the nurses and the doctors that helped out my mom. We feel they deserve so much, since they treated her so well.
