My mom's retirement/birthday party at Milleridge was a *huge* success...

I'm not going to write one of those lengthy reviews , but I will say that all 3 vendors we used were fantastic!!!

Milleridge Carriage House: Perfect!! We had 75 people and they're still talking about how wonderful everything was!! We had filet of sole, chicken francaise and prime rib. Raves about the food. I had the chicken and I'll honestly say I've had better. It was good, just not terrific! The cake was choc w/ choc mousse and ivory buttercream. It was beautiful and yummy!! Milleridge florist did a beautiful job on our centerpieces. Very fresh flowers and gorgeous fall leaves.

Paul Marino (Photographer): How nice is this guy!? Anyway, we haven't seen the pics yet, but I have no doubt they'll be great! I hired him for 2 hours to do family 'portraits' (huge family) and to shoot some candids during the cocktail hour. Money well spent.

Music by Michael (DJ): Outstanding!!!!!!!! We've had several people comment on how much fun they had - really says alot for him! It's so obvious that he takes great pride in his work and genuinely cares about everyone's good time. I was honestly surprised at how many people were dancing, including my 9 and 12 year old nephews who were too 'cool' to dance. Great fun!! (Thanks, Michael!!) We also had Michael do our photo montage for my mom. It was incredible!!!!!!!! Lots of tears!!!! We had over 200 pictures - it was like a feature film!!!! Did I say I have a big family??

Sorry, this turned into one of those long reviews!!! I know many of you are using these vendors so I thought you'd like to know our experience w/ them!!

Happy Planning!

Glad to hear it went so well! I'm using the Carriage House and I think it will be perfect for the size of my wedding, not to mention how beautiful it will be for x-mas! Can't wait! Did you get a whole dinner package with appetizers, etc? Any more feedback on the cocktail hour food you liked and didn't like? Share more!!
