So I gave my mom these labels I made up of people from FMIL before I knew exactly who she wanted to invite. Somehow my mom got confused and sent all the labels I gave her & invited 4 people that FMIL did not specify to invite. Now I'm worried that my FMIL will be mad at me for this, but my mom just got confused. I can't get in touch with Dave & I don't have my FMIL's # in Florida. I guess there's nothing we can do now. Do you think this will be a big deal (3 of the 4 are his aunts & one is her other friend).

As long as they are going to be invited to the wedding, I don't see them being invited to the shower as a problem. Besides, what's 4 more people in the grand scheme of things? I wouldn't worry about it!

It was an honest mistake, there's no reason (IMO) for your FMIL to get upset. As long as these ladies are invited to your wedding, it's fine.

Yes, they are all invited to the wedding. She initially thought she could invite only a certain # of people, maybe that is why these 3 were not included in the first place. 3 of them live in another state, so I don't want her to get mad at me saying it looks like we sent them an invitation only to get gifts. We don't care about gifts at all, & it is actually nice to invite them since they are family. Maybe I'm just blowing this whole thing out of proportion.
