my mother bought her dress for my wedding without me seeing it!! (she lives 2 hrs away from me)
i trust her and her friend's judgement (her friends from work saw the dress) i'm sure the dress is beautiful and she looks good in it but i would have liked to see it and go shopping with her! we are very close and i would have liked to go shopping with her.
how you would guys feel?

Id be happy she found a dress she really likes.. Id question why she bought it 19 months in advance tho lol but I would probably still be a little hurt that we didnt get to go together.

I'd be upset..... you want her to match your wedding to a degree... and I actually took my mother shopping 24 months before the wedding just to get it out of her system a little. She's excited, but she's your mom. You should tell her how you feel. As your mother, she should understand that you love her and wanted to have a 'mother-daughter' experience together.

My mom didn't go with me either and I guess I was upset but I ended up seeing the dress and it was beautiful. She did say if I didn't like it she would return it. I thought that was really nice.

thanks girls...we have a close relationship so i told her i was a little hurt and then teased her about it a little...she told me she was just so excited and she saw the dress and fell in loooove with it...so it's ok she got it...also, i asked her to call the store and ask them who makes the dress and the style # so i could look it up online! hehe. i looked at it and it is very nice and i guess the sky blue or 'bluestone' they called it will match my black,white, and pink wedding?

yeaaa...you're right..they do match...we'll see i'm not gonna worry about it now. i dont even know what shade of pink yet. it may be more black and white wedding with a few pink details thrown in? we'll see

My mom is super anxious about getting a dress already too and has been sending them to me online. Unfortunately our internet here takes FOREVER to work so I can't see most of them.
I dunno, I think if she bought a dress already without me I'd be more surprised that its early rather than that she went without me, but also, there is no way she's going to wait for me to get home. So I guess your mom just jumped on the chance, like if she waited maybe they wouldn't have her size or the right color anymore.

I dont think its a big deal to just mention to her that you wanted to go w/ her...go check it out and if you HATE it say something, otherwise I would just be happy my mom was so anxious that she ran out for her dress lol

I originally wanted everything black, white, and blue. Now.. it's black and white.. with pink flowers.... and the rest of it is up in the air! I might not even use blue anymore, except on the uplighting. You can definitely work in the dress. Maybe a different shade of blue for the BM's? And other details pink?

I can't believe your mom already found a dress for your wedding! that's awesome. If it was up to my mom, she would wait until the week of to buy a dress (seriously). So it's great that she found something she loves.
