my mother annoys me sometimes!!

So we're on a really tight budget and I've had to negotiate like crazy or do 1/2 packages or look for coupons or promotions so yes, for some things I am getting a very good price for what I'm receiving. But to me that doesn't mean that I shouldn't get exactly what I want (in accordance to what we agreed with)

However, any time I mention that I'm thinking of changing something or I want to ask a vendor about something my mothers reaction is you're getting a good deal, you can't be picky!)

Or if I want to call teh RH to ask a question she says that I'm such a pain. You just have to trust these places they knwo what they're doing. Stop bothering them.

Even know when I was mentioning to her that I may be increasing the size of our names on our invites my mother says maybe but remember you're getting a good deal don't bother the lady.

The girl doing my invites is a doll and is asking me to make sure that I am ok with everything. Its not like I've sent back the design a million times (which even if I did i see nothing wrong with it. you need to be happy with what you're getting)

She sent me an email with some possible borders and a list of possible sayings. I picked the border and saying I liked she did it and I liked it right away. all i'm changing is easy things like font sizes!!

It just annoys me b.c she makes me feel bad or says I'm such a pain when I'm not doing anything crazy!! She says she would hate to work with me because I'm indecisive but I am actually very proud of myself.

It only took me three days to choose a dress, one image of my invite (two with the font change), two weeks after meeting with vendors to choose (and I only met with two or three for each). !! I don't know what she wants from me!?!?

Sorry about that vent!! Just wanted to get it off my chest!!

yes they always do this... always voice their opinions on everything even when we dont want to hear it...

yea, I should be used to it by now but it still annoys me sometimes. She is a very decisive person. She actually amazes me sometimes. For instance she picked out all her furniture for her house in Florida in less than an hour before going to the airport to come back to NY. She just went, saw the options, chose what she liked and told them to deliver it. I guess since she's like that she can't understand people being any other way!!

But other then that she's great!! Shes been the one doing most of the wedding stuff with me while I'm here. Although my sister is trying to make it up to me too!! All in all, I'm lucky to have them!!

I can see how that is frustrating, I am def more like your mom when it comes to decisions. I only went to like 3 stores to try on wedding gowns and I picked one that I liked and that very same day, had the dress purchased that very same day.

I also didn't spend months looking for a RH. I weeded out halls based on pictures in magazines and phone calls, then visited the ones that I felt were strong candidates. I booked my RH on my 2nd visit there.

I just don't like to wiffle waffle but I can understand people who take a different approach to these things, the wedding is really all about these tiny details!

sorry you are going through this.. sometimes mothers think its their wedding they are planning but you need to remind them this is YOUR day and YOU want what YOU want!

That's a mom's job- to annoy and to love! LOL! My mom's mad at me right now because I didn't like her idea for the table numbers. If you're reading this, LOVE YOU MOM, but we're still not getting those cheap frames for the table numbers! LOL!

I couldn't disagree more with your mom! It's a HUGE day for you and you only want things to go right! I'd triple check everything with each vendor to make sure that come the big day, everything goes smoothly. Hang in there, and no offense to momma dukes, but take what she says with a grain of salt!

my mom LOVES to put in her 2cents all the time! how much is this how much is that.... stop going crazy with all the money spending... it's just one day!!! moms we love you all but sometimes just keep it to yourself sometimes!!!!!
