I guess this is a mini vent. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a dress and I think it is because my mother is making a huge issue about the price of the dress. She won't even comment whether she likes it or not until she has looked at the price tag At this point I'm considering just buying the dress myself because the stress of her financial issues is going to drive me insane. Is this rude of me? I feel a little ungrateful but she's making this so hard for me. Oh and I should add that I would NEVER get any dress more than $2000, the dresses I'm looking at are more in the $1000 to $1500 range, which I think is very reasonable. I'd love to hear your opinions on this.

OMG, that was my other top pick!!!!
its maggie right i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that dress!!! its more expensive if you get it with the swarovski crystals but you dont have to and it makes a big $$$$$ difference

why not tell ur mom that u want THE dress to allow her to pay what she wants to spend and you take care of the difference?

Thanks! I love it too, coincidentally I had a picture of this dress in my album and I didn't realize it was the same dress until I got home and checked the maggie website (it is a maggie). I didn't even tell my mother they make one dress with glass because I do want the swarovsky crystals, I feel like they'll shine nicely in the pictures. A friend from work has a friend who makes wedding dresses and I might have her put pink crystals in the top

I felt exactly the same when I was looking for a dress. It was extremely stressful to look for a buy a dress with my mom. Everyone kept telling me to go without her and then bring her back to the store.
