So......a little background....my mother and I get along, but we are not very close. First she got mad at my because my father and soon-to-be step mom came with me to pick out the wedding invitations (they were paying for them so I thought it was the right thing to do). Then she got mad at me because all my response cards are being sent to my FIL's house becuase we werent sure where we were going to be living when we ordered the invitations. My in-laws live in NY...my mother lives in Delaware...I cant have my response cards sent to Delaware!
Okay, so here we are today....
I asked my mom if she thought about a dress yet...she said that she ordered it. I asked her if she had a picture and she said that she is not showing anyone until the wedding day. ***?!?!
Why wont she show me the dress she is wearing to the wedding...is it some sort of punishment...I dont even know if it is worth arguing with her over......soooo mad!

She has helped me pick out the wedding dress, veil, shoes, made the cardbox, flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillow, etc. She has been included...its just hard because she lives in Delaware adn my wedding is in NY. It just strikes me as weird that she wont let me see her dress.

My FMIL tried to pull the same thing. She didn't want to show anyone the dress until the wedding. I thought it was alittle weird and I kinda complained about it to FSIL and then out of the blue my MIL showed me the dress. I know my FSIL said something to her. I must have asked her a few times to see it because she got the dress before my mom and I wanted to make sure they didn't get anything similar.

My FMIL won't show me her dress. She told me its a 'surprise'!

I would tell her you need to know the color. This way Number one if your MIL and step mom dont want to wear the same color and #2 so you can pick out a corsage that compliments her dress and color.

life is too short to worry about why she wont show you, be glad she has the dress and it will be ready on time
