I think it's from sitting at a computer all day. Does anyone else experience this? The back of my neck hurts like up into the back of my head. ow

Yes, I had the same thing, just my right side from using the computer mouse and leaning over all the time, I went to the Chiroprator for this and it helped alot, he did stimulation on it with heating pads and like electric currents zaping the muscle..it works for a few months, then I need it again.

yup, and lately the left side of my back.
DH has a horrible time with his neck and shoulders because of this.

I get neck pain similar to what you discribed when I'm having a stressful day, days, week, etc. It's lousy .. and sometimes asprin/pain reliever just doesn't kick it. And I get stuck at my desk in front of the computer all day, pretty much every day too ... if I'm away, it's only briefly. If you can't get away from your desk, try at least to move around, try stretching your neck by moving your head around.

I feel your pain
Working on a computer all day, and hopping on there too often at night, has made my neck a mess. It got so bad last year that I saw the doctor and went to a chiropractor for awhile. Now that I've stopped going for awhile, the pain is back .
It causes awful headaches for me too ... ugh ..

me too....I keep a heating pad in my desk for those days when my back or my neck hurt

It sounds like a tension headache. I think Bayer makes a specific pain reliever for tension headaches. I have constant neck and back pain, too, but for different reasons, so I feel your pain (no pun intended ) feel better!

Thanks, ladies! I don't want to get into the chiropractor thing b/c I feel like you have to go all the time and then when you stop you're in pain again. Sigh...
I guess I'll just have to stop working! lol (I wish....)

Yes...last week everyday. Now I feel better after resting this weekend. I think it was because of not sleeping good last week, stress and being in front of the computer all day at work.
