Hey, that site's totally punk rawk!

It's been a long time since I've seen so many bands and musicians talking (and singing) about political stuff.

I know- it's just really great.
I think i have to buy the CD just to throw in my support.
I have to tell you, I'm voting for Kerry but I still don't think HE'S punk rock enough.

Kerry did ride a motorcycle on the late show, but he's not very punk rock, you're right.

Kucinich is sorta punk rock, except he looks like a little elf!

No, Kerry is not very Punk rock. He's what we would have called a 'poser' back in my day.

Yesterday I was walking along Sixth Avenue and I got stopped by some DNC fundraisers... and I had an ephiphany... I thought that we should this full on marketing strategy and just do it like the good 'ole days, when there were only 5 TV stations and if you wanted to find out about a candidate, you had to watch the debate on TV .. think about all the $$$ that goes into the politcal machine- and then think about how that could be used to send needy kids to school, or go towards cancer research, or AIDS, yadda yadda.. and it got me very sad.

Because at least the democrats- sexy, punk rock or not, want to maintain, and build stronger the social safety net... but Bush & Karl Rove want to destroy it.. they basically think being poor and in 'want' makes you want to work harder- and it made me think how can these people REALLY be Christian- besides the abortion thing? Because wouldn't you care for your fellow 'man' then? Not just the 1% with the most money? I mean, what's that part of the Bible where Jesus talks about (and I'm ad libbing here) you never visited me in prison, or given me food or whatever and then the people say 'when have we seen you in prison or in need?' and he says if you give to the lowest on the street you give to me (something like that).. well as a society, don't you thinK (even if we aren't Christian) we should live like that? I mean- these people are so anti-abortion- but then never say what they are going to do w. the kids when they get here!

Not to mention- why be so crazy about Abortion and then go on with capital punishment? Because at the end of the day do we really think that Bush & Rove & his cronies have such a connection with God that they know what life is more valuable?

These are the things that go around in my head at night.. i really need a hobby/.
