My new OBSESSION in cars... whats ures?

NOW let me preface this by saying I use to make fun of Mustangs. In high School I called them Rustangs and a second belly button cause everyone had one. But there's nothing like a 1964-1973 mustang... Beautiful car. My mother had a 1993 mustang LX and it was not comfy but it was a sports car LOL...


NOW my new obsession is the new 2005 Mustang I LOVE IT SO MUCH... I WANT IT!!!! I loved the BMW M3 so much that was my dream car. And I think I want the Mustang more then that. GOD why can't I win the lotto... If I won the loto I would have to buy myself an Eleanor too (the gone in 60 seconds car) But that car would definitely get garage priority!!!!! I think its about 90,000.00

Why dont you get an older 67-68 Fastback mustang...that needs work and you and your hubby could fix it up...Instead of paying $25,000 plus for a mint mustang fastback, you can fix it up yourself...You can find them for around $1500 needing work....You dont even need to get a V8 car, you could get one with the Sprint 6 and fix it up...

I have always been into cars. It was my hobby from when I was a child. My dad was also into cars. He used to take me to all the hot rod shows, and the new car shows in the city and nassau Colesium. When I got older I started building plastic car models and I had around 95 of them...Which until last year I had on 3 shelves in my closet in lynbrook....I actually sold all 95 of them on EBay and made close to $350. I couldnt believe they sold. I was going to throw them out.

My obsession I guess you could say is the computer....and ebay. Danielle says I am addicted to the computer. I sell a lot of stuff on Ebay and I enjoy it. I actually have about 233 feedback right now and it is all good feedback.

I just recently got into Diecast cars. I don't collect them, but I buy the hard to find ones and I resell them on Ebay...right now I have a few on ebay....My auctions are ending this weekend and today.

As far as real cars go...I will always be a car nut. I used to spend a ton of money on my cars, fixing them up with 1000 watt stereo's, and spending over $1500 on performance mods, over $1000 on wheels and tires and then also polishing and detailing the car until it is show worthy. I have a first place trophy for my red 94 civic that was dropped 2 inches, and was immaculate. I also have another first place trophy for my 2001 civic that had a custom body kit, custom rims, and a 900 watt stereo system...That stereo was nuts...I could make someone windows vibrate if I was next to them....There is a train station in valley Stream, and everytime I would be stuck at the light on the block there I would make the windows vibrate in the restaurant/bar that is right there..I believe the place is called the 'railroad inn'.

My other obsession is car detailing. I love to make car that looks disgusting and dirty...Like it just drove out of the new car showroom....My car is nasty now...I dont believe in going to the car wash because I dont like what it does to the cars finish...So I usually just wait till spring to clean it. I dont think its been washed in about 7 months now lol.

As far as your mustang obsession goes....I would go for an older car that needs a little work and fix it up...You would have an excellent cruiser and also maybe you can even show it.

My friend is a mustang freak too...He has a 99 mustang GT and an 88 mustang GT. The 88 isnt really streat legal...but he drives it on the street anyway...I think he is pushing around 400 horse power and heruns the 1/4 mile in uner 11 seconds....Not bad for an automatic mustang lol.

See what happens when you talk about cars...I never shut up lol

Scott thats awesome. I have a 94 Civic and while I love it I would trade it for an older car in a heartbeat. Mike had a 00 Civic SI that he totaled he had a body kit on it. And a nice system in it that he competed with and won 1st place a few times.

I think the reason I love that Car (new mustang) so much is because it looks so retro. It looks like the older ones. It is so NICE!!!!

My brother is really into cars he went to school for them. If he were here I would buy one and let him work on it but now he lives in Florida. He followed in my fathers foot steps. My father use to have a NOVA ss that shot flames out of the tailpipes. It was so loud that when he was on the main street you could hear him coming home.. He use to race stock cars.

I know i have a weird sense in cars..

The 94-2004 i felt that they were a girls mustang...i had a 95 mustang...girls look great in them
94 and earlier..the muscle like boxy mustange and the newest one..are more of a guys car imo

I LOVE the Saleen's...NOW THOSE ARE SOME HOT CARS!!!!

BUT see I love to turn heads when I drive a car. I learned to drive a stick so I could drive my DH car so guys would turn their heads and look at me I knew this kids who was like 'you can drive a stick marry me please'

I have only seen a few 2005 mustangs in the area where I live and one was silver and the other was bright red. I gotta say that the bright red looked hot as anything. I love the 2005 GT but If I had the money, I wouldnt buy one...I would wait a year or 2 until ford got all the bugs out of it....I mean it took Ford 3 to 4 years to finally get all the bugs out of the Focus and I still hear of people having problems with them....

If I had the money now, I would buy a 2005 Scion TC or XB. I would be wary of buying an american car...unless it was 30 to 40 years old or it was actually made by a japanese company and sold under an american name, like my car is...The prizm...It is actually a toyota Corolla.

Off topic but what happen to that deli...I thought a new deli was coming there..Doesnt look like anyone has started working on it yet....hmmm.

I forgot you were around the block. NAH Violet (thats her name cause she is purple) is a two door.

I don't know what the deal is with the Deli. It has a big sign that says coming soon. BUT nothing.... they were working on it and now they arent.

thats right its purple...My 94 civic was milano red....It was my moms car...I loved that car but stupid me dropped it 2 inches to the ground and every bump could be felt...The ride was horrible in it...but it got a lot of attention....I ended up selling it to a girl that was from south brooklyn....Wonder how its doing.

I absolutely LOVE my currrent vehicle.... it's a 1990 Chevy 454SS pickup with a 496 BBC. I've had my truck over 11 years and have shown it and raced it all that time. I'll never get rid of it.... it's just too dayum fun!!

But, if I could buy something, anything today, it would have to be the an Enzo Ferrari or the Lamborgini Murcielago (sp). Those would be my dream cars.

However, I can't have 1:1 scale dream cars, so my fh's model car collection will have to do.


I am lucky enough to be getting a new truck after we sell our co-op and move to NC.... I'll be getting an 04 or 05 Silverado SS pickup to tow my truck or FH's '76 Cutlass to the track. Can't wait to get this.

now, being a Chevy fan, I've never liked Fords... BUT the new Mustang GT is a sweet looking car that I would consider buying. Gotta have the GT tho - much cooler and quicker then the 6 cyl.

That car is sooooo HOT!!! How could you not want one...now if they only made retro looking (73') Chargers

But that new mustang makes my mouth water!

ETA: My father says I like four year gaps. All of my cars have been four years in age in difference. And oddly enough Jim and I are looking at a 2005 Mazda 6!! which is 12 year or 3 times my usual 4 year gap from my last car. Ok, I need to leave work.. too many numbers!
